WordPress 3.6 “Oscar” has been due out for several months. And today, it’s here. Check out this short video for an overview.
Some new features?
- Native audio & video support – just paste in a URL and you’re done.
- Nice revision comparison feature.
- Great auto-save that will protect you from yourself!
- Post locking in case more than one person is editing at the same time.
- And an improved menu creation interface.
And what’s next? Version 3.7 is due in October and 3. 8 by December. And the new Twenty Fourteen default theme is rumored to be a magazine style theme with features you’d expect in a commercial theme. (State of the Word: WordPress 3.7 and 3.8 Out Soon)
